We encourage yearly physical examinations ensuring the best health for your pet. The primary focus of our veterinarians is to provide the highest quality of care for our patients. After all, pets can't talk!

Surgical services and facilities include veterinary and technical staff that ensure the safest, most efficient procedures. We offer presurgical diagnostics including blood tests and xrays, when indicated, along with pulse and oxygen saturation monitors during surgery to help ensure a safe surgery.
Laboratory Diagnostics
Our skilled veterinarians and technicians provide in-house laboratory diagnostics of blood, biopsy samples, urine, and feces. Each tests gives our veterinarians a variety of diagnostic approaches and information. We also offer laboratory testing through Idexx, Michigan State, Texas A&M, and University of Illinois, with many tests results available within 24 hours.
Ultrasound
Ultrasound technology utilizes the physics of sound waves (not radiation energy like in x-rays) to produce moving images on a monitor. It is often used to complement radiographic images because an ultrasound gives us a different type of information about what is going on inside an animal's body. We can see the heart beating in real time, or see detailed images of the insides of the liver, kidney, spleen and other organs.
Avid Microchips
These microchips are placed under the skin between the shoulder blades and are used as an aid in reconnecting a lost animal to it's owner. Any animal facility with a universal microchip scanner will be able to retrieve the identification number from the microchip and get the owner's contact information.
Therapeutic Laser Treatment
Laser Therapy is a non-invasive, pain free treatment option, with zero side-effects. We have a therapeutic class 4 (the highest and safest class) laser unit that uses lightwave energy to help heal tissues of the body. A handheld device is placed upon the area to be treated and the light waves that are emitted are able to pass through the layers of the skin to reach the desired depth. Cold laser therapy can be used in the treatment of a wide variety of conditions to help reduce pain, inflammation, and speed healing. It's never to late to see if laser therapy is right for your animal!
Radiology
Radiology is the study of how safe, high energy x-ray radiation interacts with different tissues within the body. An x-ray is like a black and white photograph of what is inside a dog or cat. We use x-ray imaging to look inside the body at bones and other organs to help us diagnose diseases such as: heart failure, pneumonia, broken bones, arthritis, and many others.
Blood Pressure Testing
Our practice has a digital oscillometric blood pressure machine that can quickly measure a patients blood pressure. We have tiny little cuffs that wrap around the dog or cat's leg to comfortably get a blood pressure reading within minutes. Medicines can then be prescribed if the animal's blood pressure is too high.
Canine & Feline Dentistry
A clean mouth is a healthy mouth! Maintaining a healthy mouth by keeping your pet's teeth and gums clean is vital to their overall health. We routinely perform dental prophylaxis (cleaning) on dogs and cats. This includes the process of removing plaque and calculus buildup on the teeth, performing necessary extractions, and polishing the enamel. Studies have shown that bacteria from the mouth not only affect the gum tissue but also can lead to problems with other areas of the body like the kidneys, heart, and lungs.
Glaucoma Screening
Glaucoma is a serious eye disease in which the pressure inside the eye becomes elevated. We have a small digital instrument that can painlessly and easily measure eye pressures within seconds, helping us to start treatment immediately.
Prescription Flea & Heartworm Prevention
We offer a variety of prescription flea, tick, and heartworm prevention medications at competitive prices. Give our office a call or stop in and our staff will help your find the best prescription for your pet.

Our doctors follow the American Heartworm Association's protocol for the treatment of canine heartworm disease. The treatment is complex, though the medication is very effective and safe. Most dogs can live a happy and normal life after treatment.
